September 23rd, 2015 – 10am to 10pm

EXPO MILANO 2015 – BIODIVERSITY PARK

An open innovation event that will put a spotlight on malnutrition,
and the way it affects our global food system.

Good nutrition is our first defence against disease and our source of energy to live and be active. The right to adequate food is universal and good nutrition is essential for everyone.

Malnutrition is defined by the United Nation’s Food and Agriculture Organization as “an abnormal physiological condition caused byinadequate, unbalanced or excessive consumption of macronutrients and/or micronutrients. Malnutrition includes undernutrition andovernutrition as well as micronutrient deficiencies.” Problems of malnutrition exist in all countries and transcend socio-economic classes.

FEEDING FAIR will gather people from diverse educational backgrounds – students of agriculture and engineering, entrepreneurs, chefs, tech developers, professors and international mentors – and get them to co-create and co-design innovative ideas and prototypes that can help solve issues surrounding malnutrition, and how we can feed a growing world population in sustainable ways.
